FM spokesman advises US officials to read book, stop anti-Iran threats

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson called on the American politicians to read nonfiction books about the global affairs and abandon empty threats against the great Iranian nation.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson called on the American politicians to read nonfiction books about the global affairs and abandon empty threats against the great Iranian nation.

In a post on his Twitter account on Thursday night, Abbas Mousavi recommended that the US statesmen wake up to reality by reading books on the International Day of the Book.

“Today is World Book Day! My free advice to US officials: READ BOOK!” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

“Had the American leaders read nonfiction books about global affairs, they'd have stopped making empty threats against IRAN "THE GREAT NATION", relying on the fakes for judgment and outsourcing Iran policy to warmongers,” Mousavi underlined.

In a tweet earlier in the day, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reminded Washington that American forces “have no business 7,000 miles away from home” and are provoking Iranian sailors in the Persian Gulf.

On Sunday, the IRGC Navy released a video showing a recent confrontation between its forces and the US navy in the Persian Gulf, refuting claims by Washington that Iranian forces behaved in a dangerous manner when faced with US navy vessels.
